Inept, impotent offensively at this time would be an understatement. Perry after strong start has gone completely comatose, except if course taking his usual stupid penalties. Here's hoping 45/47 come back at least next week to help a D that continually gets pinned deep. When Chris Wagner is your most dangerous threat offensively you may struggle to score goals and goals win.

Too many guys are playing way out of position now, and instead of making simple, smart plays they're trying to make pretty plays and they're not skilled enough to pull them off. Maybe with 4 days off guys can start to get healthy and people can start playing in more comfortable positions. It's hard to get too down on them, not too many teams can overcome the loss of their two top centers and 2 of their top 4 defense men, but even so these last 2 games were easily winnable and points in October matter when April rolls around.

If only we had a guy that scored 131 points in the minors last year that we could've used for the first 10 games, then made a decision to send him down or not. Who knows if he would've made a difference or not, but it certainly couldn't have hurt to try given what they put on the ice right now.

I concur wholeheartedly with Sam being here for 9 games - Look around the league at young guys playing ... SS wouldn't have hurt and more than likely helped ...

I said from the beginning I would have been happy with a .500 record heading into November. That was with the assumption the only regulars missing from the lineup would be Vats, Lindholm, and Kes. Throw in Eaves, Getz, Kase, etc., and we should celebrate a .500 record come November 1. I'm not seeing it if Getzlaf and Eaves can't make it back by Friday. If these injuries are "reoccurring" the only answer then is for them to sit until completely healed. Since we don't know what's wrong, that may spell disaster for this team.

I guess the hope would be for Lindholm and Vats to return more sooner than later to help mitigate the injuries. Then hope for 1-0, or 2-1 wins going forward.
